Why are people so mad that their head cannons are destroyed? It’s called a headcannon as in not real and stupid

When you play for almost 3 years without any real background to the game, you get kinda invested in your warframe.
For me its not about the fact that I was wrong, its about the fact that it feels like you have no choice but to pick up this canon.

Yeah you could just ignore it, but its the principle upon which you established your views just to later be told “ you arent right” and now you have to literally live with that fact. Its like… sitting in the back of your liset eating doritos or something.

People got invested. They created themselves around these characters. Nothing pointed to anything else so why not.

Its like growing a tree on a small plot of land. Hard work and time but you made it and you are proud of it. Then the government builds a road though that land and takes away your tree.
They can do that, but you are kinda de-valueing people’s investments and interests
Its only human nature to get attached to something no matter how much you dont want to.

Those that got invested are escapists that can’t differentiate reality from fantasy. Like something? Okay. Drawing otps? Okay. Discarding and de-valuing the work DE put into the game for FINALLY giving lore just because your make believe fantasy isn’t real is not okay. I’m using “you” and “you’re in general terms.

Lmao they do. “Fuck you DE”, “ima uninstall!!!”, “the lore is shit”. What gets me the most is how lotus said - they discard and degrade hard work of DE because it doesn’t fit their wet fantasies. Remembering ember prime codex now makes me realize they had this concept for so long. Now, people who can be considered as warfram vetersns spitting acid at this revealed lore and saying they quit – did you really play this game for your fantasies solely?
